My Online Associations
This was a side project that I wanted to do that would allow companies to manage their online brand by finding out what feelings their brand was associated with. I wanted to create a dashboard that would show users information about what the social web has thought about them, through associations. With thousands of new blogs created daily, a company does have an interest in understanding what people are saying about them online.
IAx0 Information Architect Community
IAx0 was a project that I wanted to start after noticing that there were not enough ways to visualize data, a voracious IA/UX community, and I wanted to fuse the two together. I wanted to create a social site where professionals could throw out ways in which information could be displayed, then have a community weigh in and see if something really useful could come of that. It didn't work out because I was trying to hack it together with Joomla and for user management and permissions it wasn't up to the task.

Create or Die
Create or Die was supposed to be a social network with a different type of revenue model. Instead of blasting users with the typical ad's, they were going to be more immersive and less obtrusive. The ads were only going to be allowed if they were directly useful to the users of the site, the community would also be able to vote on the usefulness of ads. If the ads were useless to them, they were gone. I wanted to create a home to Artists, Musicians who could connect with bars and locals that were into what they had. The site never got past initial designs and concepts.
